Birth Control
Quote: "Birth control is the first important step woman must take toward the goal of her freedom. It is the first step she must take to be man's equal. It is the first step they must both take toward human emancipation." - Margaret Sanger
As late as 1968 the Roman Catholic Church still denied births control to its female followers.
By the late 1960s almost all women had access to birth control
It was seen as a major progression in society for women because:
-it gave women control over their reproductive role
-a choice as to whether or not they wanted to be mothers
-control over their careers
Summary: Birth control can be a controversial topic. There is no doubt however, that it allows women more independance and control over their lives.

Question: How would equality for women have progressed without the introduction of birth control?
