African National Congress (ANC)
The Afican National Congress was the most prominent resistance group to the apartheid.
The leaders of the group often found themselves arrested and in prison.
The ANC wanted to create a non-racial democracy in South Africa.
The National Party portrayed the ANC as a communist organization. They were not however, the Soviet Union did provide education and military training even though they were never really interested in South Africa.
Summary: The African National Congress was the most powerful opposition towards to apartheid. They faced many hardships and went through times where they were outlawed however, they eventually won the election of 1994.
